Dawning Days

This project was a great mix of commercial and residential, with a cellar door, winery and accommodation.
With polished concrete and a beautiful open brick chimney as a feature in the cellar door, this space really lent itself to enjoying the Southern Highlands cool climate with a glass of wine by the fire.

The winery, now full of barrels and wine-making equipment, is a space that was built for practicality. It’s great to see it now in full use.
The accommodation now serves the local tourist industry and has a wonderful vaulted ceiling, fire and custom kitchen.

Overall, this project is a great example of contemporary farm-style construction on a large scale. Custom-made barn doors, manufactured locally, draw your eye on arrival and set the standard for the farm.
Mike and Kat were great to work with throughout the build, and their wines are up there with the best.
