Throsby Street
Alterations and additions
Throsby is a wonderful example of a good old-fashioned restoration. This 1930s weatherboard cottage had not been touched in over 40 years and needed a lot of work.
It was wonderful to be able to remove the interior gyprock, which was covering the original timber V-joint lining boards, and to repair the original features of the home back to near-new condition.
With a full renovation of every part of this home, from two new bathrooms, a new kitchen and all new robes and rear deck, it was a great project to let the carpentry do the talking.
I believe the greatest challenge was the fact our client is a local building certifier; throughout the project, this kept all trades professionals on their toes.
With the final finishings, the quality of the job speaks for itself. Our client was very happy, and their interior design choices were a huge part of the final product.
